MEMBERSHIP APPROVAL & NEW MEMBER ONBOARDING PROCESS

Step #1: Qualifying & Approval Process:

The IA FORUM is a “by invitation” only community. That said, there are several ways to be considered for membership.

• Invited by the IA FORUM: Which equates to being pre-approved for membership.
• Request to Join: Contact Jules Miller so she can determine if you qualify for a membership plan. She’ll get back to you to let you know the status of your membership request.
• Nominated by a Current IA FORUM Advisory Board or Member: Upon review of your background, Jules will let you and your internal or external colleague - or friend - that has nominated you for membership know if you’ve been approved for a membership plan.

Step #2: Online Self-Registration - or Scheduling a Member Exploratory or Onboarding Phone Call with Jules

If you’ve been pre-approved or approved for a membership plan - or if you absolutely qualify for membership - you may self-register online or book a membership call with Jules.

Purpose of a Membership Exploratory or Onboarding Phone Call:

• The IA FORUM's various membership brochures and website provide a wealth of information - and said information should be reviewed prior to booking a phone call with Jules - so you’ll come to the meeting already having a clear understanding of the community, programs, and costs associated with membership.
• A dedicated time for Jules to get a better sense of what your current and short & long-term project initiatives and career objectives may be. Knowing this information will help Jules ensure you’ll get the most out of your membership.
• A time to address any questions you may have prior to joining - and to help you complete your membership online registration.

Step #3: NEW Member Onboarding:

Once your membership registration and payment are complete, the below NEW member onboarding projects will be completed within 1 - 3 days.

• Welcome Letter: You’ll immediately receive a Welcome email - which goes over how to set up your IA FORUM online account; learn about and register for events; access the IA FORUM’s internal and external insights, content, event videos & PPTs; and the full YouTube Channel.

• LinkedIn IA FORUM New Member Postcard & Post Announcement: The IA FORUM will create a visually appealing postcard and enticing post copy that highlights your professional background and welcomes you to the IA FORUM. Your postcard & post will be shared on the IA FORUM’s various LinkedIn accounts. You’ll also receive a copy so you can also share on your LinkedIn account.

• You Can Start Attending IA FORUM Events: Once you create a new password for your IA FORUM online account, you’ll immediately be able to register for - and attend IA FORUM events.

• IA FORUM Slack Workspace & Channels: Your account will be set up so you can immediately start engaging with the IA FORUM community and other community members.

• IA FORUM Slack Introduction: You’ll be introduced to the community via the IA FORUM Slack Workspace/Channels - with your NEW member postcard/post copy being utilized for your introduction.

• Member-to-Member Introductions: You’ll immediately be introduced to 20+ members that make sense for you to connect and engage with - via LinkedIn 1:1 Group Chat messages.

• Introduction to Local IA FORUM Members: You’ll be introduced to members that live near you - via the IA FORUM LinkedIn Local Member Group Chat Rooms, I.e. - Texas, California, Georgia, etc.
